- A Student who has passed 10+2 examination or an equivalent course is eligible to seek admission in the FIRST YEAR of degree course if he/she fulfils the condition as given below:-
- A condition seeking admission to the B.A/B.Com. first year must have passed 10+2 or an equivalent examination of a Board/University with pass in five subjects including English. The students who have passed their +2 examination with vocational subjects are also eligible to seek admission in B.A/B.Com First Years, if otherwise eligible.
- Candidate should not have attained the age of 23 year(Boys) and 25 years(Girls) as on 01.07.2022
- A relaxation of 3 years in age limit is applicable to the candidates belonging to SC/ST category.
- Minimum percentage of marks obtained at 10+2 level required for admission is as under.
B.A.(Pass)-33%
B.Com(Pass)
- i) 45%
- ii) 40% for those who have passed 10+2 Examination with Commerce Stream.
iii) 33% for girls irrespective of their categories.
NB: A Candidate seeking admission to B.Com First Year must have studied either Economics or Mathematics as an Elective Subject +2 Level.
>> A Relaxation of 5% marks in above eligibility criteria is available to SC/ST candidates.
A Relaxation of 5% marks at minimum qualification will be given to specially-able candidates vide notification No:. EDN-H (21) MSC/2003 dated March, 2003, A medical certificate (40% Disability) from the District Medical Board in case of disable candidates/claiming concession in fee and eligible criteria is required to be produced at the time of admission.
>> If a student has a gap of one year in the studies. he/she will have to submit an affidavit duly attested by a competent authority as a proof of his/her activities during the period of gap.
>> Only a clear pass candidates of 10+2 examination from national institute of open schooling(NIOS) will be admitted in first year of degree programme as there is no provision of awarding compartment at 10+2 level in the NIOS.
