About Us

Affiliated with HP University, Government Degree College Chowki Maniar was established on October 9, 2015, through Government of Himachal Pradesh Notification No. EDN-A-Ka(1)-32/2007, dated October 9, 2015. The college began functioning in the academic session 2016-17 with an enrollment of 84 students. Located in a serene area along the Baruhi-Talmehra road in the Bangana Subdivision of Una district, the institution serves the educational needs of students from remote panchayats in the region.

Currently, the college offers undergraduate courses in Humanities and Commerce. The Science faculty will be introduced once the necessary infrastructure is in place. Presently housed in a separate block owned by GSSS Chowki Maniar, the college is set to evolve into a fully-fledged institution of higher learning, complete with extensive infrastructure and a sprawling campus in the coming years.

The institution aims to provide quality education while upholding and preserving cultural heritage, moral values, national integration, social commitment, patriotism, and the development of scientific temper, sportsmanship, and leadership qualities.
